One of my favorite rock bands, The New Pornographers, released their album "Together" back in 2010. In honor of the release, they held a t-shirt design contest. This was my second entry, inspired by the pitch, volume and tone knobs on a vintage instrument.

This was a submission for a t-shirt design competition hosted by Threadless.com. Sponsored by Urb magazine, the theme of the competition was “Vinyl, Files, and Cassettes.” The design was an attempt at being both literal and decorative, and was inspired in part by heraldic shields.
